Osteria in Piazza in Jena

We had ordered for delivery. Since an evaluation was requested, here: The grilled mozzarella was OK, but nothing more and loses out in comparison with other delivery services. The salad underneath was listless, unseasoned and influenced the taste of the mozzarella through the many onions. The basil pesto pasta and shrimp were OK but not worth the money. There was just no taste there. The pasta with vegetables and mascarpone sauce was also rather poor. You could then eat it with ketchup. The tiramisu was OK, but after the disappointment it didn't get anything out. The delivery was completely okay with the scope of delivery with 45 minutes. Unfortunately, we will no longer order here. Maybe this would have a bad day locally. Annoying

Tastes like in Italy! :-) If we take food with us from the O'steria In Piazza, the panna cotta shouldn't be missing. Seldom eaten such a good panna cotta (even in Italy).

Actually a nice restaurant with a very good location. We always waited a long time for drinks, even when the beer garden was almost empty. I wouldn't go there anymore. We also noticed that the food was returned. At last we ordered beer 3 times until we finally had something in hand after 20 minutes. It's a shame actually.

I spent an evening with friends in this restaurant because I had already had a good experience during a visit in 2019 and felt comfortable. Unfortunately, after initial enthusiasm and quick service, this last visit was chaotic: we waited more than an hour, almost an hour and a half, for our (2!) Pizzas. A pizza was brought to the table that we hadn't ordered at all. After an immediate complaint, it took at least half an hour for the correct pizza to arrive. Requests that we forwarded to the staff (beer coasters for glasses for wasps, a blanket because it quickly became cool in the evening) were forgotten. The waitress either showed little presence at times or overlooked one completely, even though we were outside, directly in front of the entrance. Our neighboring tables also waited a long time for what they ordered, sometimes, according to their information, probably even two hours. I am very disappointed with this visit and do not think I will be back so soon. However, I hope that the personal conditions and the organization at "O'steria In Piazza" improve, because the food tastes good otherwise.

Tasty and cozy! Eaten carpacio and pizza. And not expensive

The O’steria in Piazza is centrally located on the market and nicely decorated. You can also buy take-away Italian coffees, wines and beers on site. The pizzas are delicious and the chef is an Italian original. It feels like in Bella Italia. House pizza is recommended. 😋

If we can't eat, we just stay at home and order. Super punctual, super tasty !!! Thank you for being there! Hold on!

If you do something to eat there, the older waiter is reasonably friendly to the customers. If you only drink what you would rather not enter the restaurant. It's not that unfriendly. It has happened to us several times. When ordering we asked if EC card payment is possible, it came a pampy yes. When paying then ... only from 15 euros ... better look in through the shop windows, otherwise you will be infected in a bad mood by the waiter.

Should be a nice evening with friends ... unfortunately waiting 1.5 hours for the mediocre food 🤷‍♀️ can happen, but what the staff made of the situation is not possible. Have never seen such a pampy rude or even personally offensive waiter !!!! There is still an Italian on the market where you can always is served quickly and with respect.

The pizza is delicious, we had to wait long for the drinks. The plates were cleared quickly but then no waiters could see more. But I have to say that as always it was very busy in the restaurant.

A cozy atmosphere with very passionate service. There is a very nice selection of food and drinks, the interior is very cozy and there is plenty of space for various occasions. We recommend this restaurant for couples and smaller families, but also for a larger concern can be taken care of.

The service was ok, no English speakers.

Well, go - a good mix of Italian food and drinks. The waiter was extremely hospitable and also relatively fast. After cheese you had to ask. The noodles were relatively firm. There are certainly even better, but of course even worse. All in all, we felt well and the food would have received 8 points in a 10-point scale.

Employees are super rude and the food is okay. Just go to Lo'Steria nearby instead

Never again! On a Saturday night, a bit hungry, we visited this Italian. There were a few tables available and we got a seat immediately. The order went afloat. The ordered still water was carbonated, beer and wine was fine. After over an hour, we asked what our food looked like. After almost 2 hours we got our order. The quality was just bad! Actually, you would need 3 returned by four courts if it had not been hungry. By "overload" the waiter we got even a drink. Nevertheless, the bill amounted to 90, - €. Ahead there was no bread with olive oil, which would have helped, or following any debt relief. It was just bad !!!

Poor Service, average food and the waiter didn't bring back the change! Bye, never see me there again!

It was pretty full, als in spite of having a reservation we had to wait a while, just standing there and waiting in between the tables. Food was great. Although he got two wrong appetizers. The server said take them anyway no problem and after they still charged us for it. Check was also wrong had 2 lines on it that we didnt order.

Nicely decorated, nice Italian restaurant. The food looked good and the taste was okay, but not particularly. Price / performance could be better.
